24 February 2020

On the 24th of February 2020, Wojciech Stęchły and Horacy Dębowski from the TRACK-VET project participated in the meeting of the Automotive Sectoral Competence Council which took place at the premises of the VOLVO bus factory in Wrocław, Poland. More than 40 persons from the automotive industry, representatives of the ministries, Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, research institute and examination agency participated in this event.

During the meeting, Wojciech Stęchły presented the topic and main findings of the TRACK-VET project. During his presentation, Wojciech asked participants – in the form of a short online survey – how they value TKC’s in comparison to basic and professional competences. Interestingly, the majority of respondents indicated that the development of TKCs from the perspective of the automotive sector is even more important than the development of specific professional skills or basic skills (literacy, numeracy).
